7 Best High Profit Dropshipping Suppliers in South Africa
When it comes to drosphipping suppliers in South Africa there are a lot of great options especially in Cape Town.
But not all of them have South African warehousing and this could affect your shipping time in the long run. To help you select and tested the best dropshippers for you. Here are the ones that I recommend and ones I'm not sure about-
1. ZA dropshipping
First option on my list of best dropshipping suppliers in South Africa is a dropshipping portal that is currently most popular among local entrepreneurs. This dropshipper has RSA warehousing centers and also works with local suppliers for ensuring fast shipments.
There is an offical Shopify app that easily integrates with your store for importing products and setting up one click fulfillment. Their average rating at the time of reviewing is 3.7/5 on Shopify app marketplace. Most users praised their effective customer service, fast shipping, and good profit margin. But some mentioned a discrepancy between listed price and the price at the time of order as mentioned by one user which you can check by placing a test order if you’re skeptical.
Lastly the return policy is pretty straightforward, If the items are defective or damaged, you can get it replaced within 7 days of receiving the order. While the app itself is free for testing, you will need a monthly subscription for getting started.

2. The Scents
If you’d like to start dropshipping in South africa for one of the most high profit dropshipping niches - Beauty & Cosmetics - then this option is for you.
The Scents offer thousands of products in multiple categories including brand name fragrances, skincare, hair, makeup, aroma therapy, and candles. They have proper South Africa based warehousing and work with major shipping carriers and deliver worldwide. For local shipping it will cost you R90 + R50 (for every additional item).
You can make payment with credit card or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). There is no eCommerce integration so you’d have to manually place orders, but you can use a third party Shopify app for importing product data to your store.

3. Cosmetic SA
Cosmic Pets is a South Africa dropshipping supplier and a wholesale distribution company that focus on pet suppliers and accessories niche. Their dropshipping program is designed for professionals like pet groomers, breeders, and more. The order processing and fulfillment is smooth and you can get free shipping on order exceeding R2,000
You will have to join their network via the application process. They are not accepting new dropshippers but you can check back in sometime or workout a deal with another reseller.

Dropshippers that failed my test and why :(
4. Dropstore
Dropstore was one of the promising dropshipping suppliers in South Africa and is mentioned at many places. The subscription will cost you R399 per month and gives features like real time inventory updates, automated dropshipping, Shopify sync and more. They also have a lot of unique products from known brands.
But there were too many mixed reviews for me to recommend it to my readers. First the Shopify app marketplace is loaded with issues on their plugin integration and order migration. Rating-wise they got 1.1/5 after 7 reviews. Next there are YouTube channels recommending this dropshipper but again most of them have a referral LINK in their description which makes it challenging to know if the supplier is reliable.
5. New Feelings
New Feelings is a wholesale supplier and not a dedicated dropshipping supplier. They have minimum order quantity discounts (i.e. 10% on more than 100 items). You can, however, check with them for a dropshipping deal. Next there are limited online reviews about this supplier so I’d recommend you to check the refund policy and place a test order before getting started.
6. Mantality
Mantality is another great platform with products in grooming, health, fitness, apparel and other categories. However if you check the product pricing there is only a room of 10%-20% profit margin if you don’t spend a lot on marketing. Next there is no info about dropshipping on their platform.
7. Earth Africa Curio
This platform clearly mentioned that they don’t offer dropshipping and the minimum order value for starting up with wholesale is R1000.
How to find dropshipping suppliers in South Africa
So that was my take on SA dropshippers I tested over 20+ suppliers with some not having local warehousing and others with delayed shipment.
But if you want to find more legitimate suppliers here are my best strategies -
- Look for a niche supplier - Look on Google “YOUR NICHE dropship” South Africa or “become a retailer SA”
- Work with Print on demand - POD dropshipping is where you get to customize your products, check my print on demand list.
- Check out Google Shopping - Search on Google Shopping with your product or niche name. Next look on the left side under “Brands” Open the product pages of these brands and look around on their website to find out if they are manufacturer dropship companies or resellers.
- Work with wholesalers - Get your products bulk shipped to warehousing and fulfillment centers and you can fulfill on per product basis when order arrives.
- Hire a dropshipping agent - Domestic dropship agents know about legit suppliers.
- Dropshipping platforms - Signup on third party platforms like Modalyst that lists worldwide suppliers.
Hope that helped you get started with dropshipping, if you still have difficulty finding your supplier you can let me know in the comments below, or reach me out via the contact page.
